Washington Therapeutic Boarding Schools

The Washington Department of Health issues Residential Treatment Facility licenses (RTF) to groups planning on providing treatment and therapeutic services to children. It processes initial licensure, license renewals, and license amendment for such facilities.

Private schools in Washington are not required to become accredited, but are encouraged to do so by the Washington State Board of Education.
