Character-Building

Stillwater AcademyUpon enrollment, your student’s unique issues and challenges, as well as his/her strengths and abilities, will be assessed to identify specific treatment goals. Maintaining a small program makes it possible to adapt treatment to each student’s particular needs and circumstances.

Students start by ‘Learning to understand how their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors have affected them and those around them.

Students ‘Live’ by identifying the issues driving their inappropriate behaviors, and recognizing and taking responsibility for their thoughts, feelings, and actions, they then begin to discover their unique strengths and talents.

Students then ‘Lead’ by helping other students see these same things in themselves, building family relationships, practicing communication skills, and preparing for graduation.
