The Oklahoma Department of Human Services licenses and regulates adolescent facilities, group homes and other 24-hour care programs.
While accreditation is encouraged by the Oklahoma State Board of Education, it is not required for private schools. Teachers at accredited private schools must be certified; non-accredited schools are not required to employ certified teachers. Oklahoma private schools must require immunizations for students and each school must have a written health program.
